Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation to post, print , paint, fasten ar place any
advertisement or. any bill board within the corporate limits of the
City of Dort Collins with ut first having obtained a license
therefor.

Section Z. Any person, -firm or corporation, desi_rinu- to
erect aic -maintain or c.Liuse to be erected and maintained any bill
board or 'her structure designed to be used for advertisin,,
pu'pcses, whereon any poster, bill, printing, painting or* other
advertising mattar 1-hatsoever may be st-lck, tacked, posted, printed,
pasted, fastened or placed within the corporate limits of the City
of Fort Collins or who have already erected such bill boards a.nd
are maintaining the same within. the corporate limits cf the City
of Fort Collins, 'shall, for the jiurpose of continuing the main-
tenanee of said bill boards , apply to the City Co n.: cil for a
license therefor, which application shall state the number of
bill boards to erected and mai tained, or to be erected by the
applicant , and the location thereof , and stall accompany such

fee shall be charged; and, upon the gra�ing of any application for a
license , the Commissioner of Safety and Ex-Off_cio Mayor and the City
Clerk are hereby mithorized to issue a license therefor which shall
expire with the fiscal year December thirty-first in each year. Said
license fee shall cover all inspection and censor charges. All of
said bill boards to be erected under the re ;ulations ax.d limitations
as provided in the Building Code of the City of Fort Collins.
Section 4. Such person, firm or corporation maintaining bill
boards as aforesaid within the corporate limits of the City of Fort
Collins shall keep and maintain the same in a safe, clean and well
painted condition, and all posters, bills , printing, painting or
other advertising matter shall, before the same are posted, be censored
by the Commissioner of Safety and Ex-Officio Layor, and no posters,
biklls, printing, painting or other advertising matter which, by reason
of their indecent or immoral tendencies , do not meet with the approval
of the said Commissioner of Safety and Ex-Offieio Mayor shall be
placed upon any of said bill boards within the corporate limits of the
City of Fort Collins.
Section 5. All license fees heretofore mentioned in this
ordinance shall ta:rminate on the 31st day of December of each year,
and all license fees shall be due and payable on the lat day of
January of each year. Whenever applications are received between the
let day of January and the 31st day of December, the City Clerk shall
make calculations and charge for such licenses in proportion as the
remaining part of the year is to the whore year for the purposes of
this ordinance, the month being considered as the sr::allest subdivision
of the year.
Section 6. Any person, firm or corporation who shall
violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction
be fined in a. sum not less than Five (45.00) Dollars and not more than
One hundred (4100,00) Dollars for each offense , together with costs of
suit .

Section 7. Ordinance No. 37 , 192Z, Ordinance No. 1, 1924,
and all other ordin-.noes or parts of ordinances in eoiiflict with
tide or,=,in.-nea are ._ _eby repealed.
Section 8. In the opinion of the City Council an emergency
exists for the preservation of the -ublic health, peace and sz?'ety,
and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication ,
under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of
Article IV of the City Charter.

of Sections 6 and 7 of�rtiole IV of the City Charter; and thereafter
and on to-wit: the day of December, A. D. 19z8, said Ordinance

daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado,
