BEING AN E`_2RGENCY ORDINANCE BAKI G AN APPROPRIATION FOR
THE REIODELING AND REPAIRING OF THE CITY HALL IN FORT COLLINS.
WHEREAS, Since the adoption of the
annual appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year ending
December 31, 1925, an emergency and unforseen contingency
has arisen, whereby it has become and is necessary to re-
model and repair. the City Hall of Fort Collins for the use
of its several departments; this remodeling to be done in
the present City Hall and the property heretofore purchased
adjacent thereto, which is also to be used for City Hall;
and in order to properly arrange and equip the same for City
Hall purposes it is necessary to remodel and repair the
same; and the public necessity requires an additional ap-
propriation of public funds therefor; therefore, BE IT ORDAIN-
ED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That there be and hereby
is appropriated out of the revenues of the City of Fort Col-
lins , the sum of Five Thousand ($5 ,000.00) Dollars to be used
for the remodeling, repairing_ and altering of the City Hall
or so much of said appropriation as may be necessary in ad-
dition to the appropriation heretofore made by Ordinance No.
35; which said sum, when this ordinance takes effect , shall
be credited on the books of the City Clerk and City Treasurer
to the BuildinaFuffd,,�Snd shall be known as the second ap-
propriation to the Buildingound"; and when the appropriation
made under Ordinance No. 35 shall have been exhausted then
warrants for the remodeling, repairing and altering of the ,
said City Hall shall be drawn on the appropriation made by
this ordinance and on such warrant shall be printed or writ—
ten, on their face the name of the said fund upon which they
are drawn and in the event there are no funds available in
the City Treasury with rhich to pay the said warrant when
- presented, to the City Treasurer, he shall endorse there on;
"Presented for payment (date) , no
funds; this warrant will draw interest at the rate of six
per cent per annum from the date of presentation until pay—
ment.

Section 2. In the event of the re—
venues beinE insufficient to pay the warrants authorized under
the appropriation contained in Section 1 of this ordinance,
the City Council shall provide by appropriation from the general
revenues of the year 1926 and each year thereafter until all
such warrants are paid, not less than Five Hundred ($500.00)
Dollars each year with which to pay said warrants and all in—
terest accruing thereon.
Section 3. In the opinion of the City
Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public
health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect
upon its passage and publication, under and by virture of the
authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article 1P of the
City Charter.

of three (3) sections, was duly proposed and read at length at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 14th day of February,A. D. 1925,
and duly adoptsd and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier,
a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins,
by the unanimous vote of all the membsrsof the City Council,; as an emergency
ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article
ly of th3 City Charter; and thersaftar, and on, to-wit, the C
