HomeMy WebLinkAbout013 - 05/08/1926 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL TO SELL AND CONVEY REAL ESTATE (EMERGENCY ORDINANCE) ORDINANCE NO 13 , 1926, BEING AN ERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL TO SELL AND CONVEY REAL ESTATE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 Any and all real estate now owned or hereafter acquired in the name of the City of Fort Collins, be the said real as- taat3 ob ain3d by tax deed or otherwise, which property is not -used nor intended to be used for municipal purposes, nor secured for the purpose of being used for municipal purposes, the City Council is haraby empowered to sell and dispose of the same, provided it appears to the beat interests of the City so to do, and to make good and sufficient deeds of conveyance therefor Section 2 Before any such property is alienated by the City, a resolution shall be adopted by the City Council finding that such property is not used nor intended to be used for municipal purposes, nor secured for the purpose of being used for municipal purposes, and that it is for the best interests of the City of Fort Collins that the same be sold Section 3 All conveyances shall be made by good and sufficient deeds of conveyance signed "The City of Fort Collins, By the Commissioner of Saf-ty and Ex-Officio Mayor " and attested by the City Clerk with the official seal of the City affixed tbereto Section 4 All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict wd th this ordinance are hereby repealed Section 5 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter • Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council this 8 '�day of 0 , 1926 ATTEST mmiasioner of y and Ez- io Mayor `� it ty Clerk STATE OF COLORADO SS COUNTY OF IA RIMER ) I, A J ROSPNOw, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing ordinance, consisting of five (5) sections, was duly proposed and rdad at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 8 46 day of A D 1926, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the Council, as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV C# of the City Charter, and thereafter, on to-wit the day of 1926, said Ordinance No /.3 was duly published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado IN WITNESS FIE REOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City this day of A D 1926 City Clerk.
