AN ORD- INANCE IN RELATION TO PLUMB- ING " BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS COLORADO a SECTION I T Section�y� `one o Article o -tiw said Ordinance/,,,be amended to read as follows to wit From and after March 1st 1913 no person shall engage in the business of plumbing as a master or employinp plumber within the city without a license so to do Any person desiring such license shall make application therefore to the City Clerk Such application shall be in writing and shall state the name of the applicant and the location of the business then ,or forthwith thereafter to be, established in the City of Fort Collins which business must be a regular plumbing business Upon so doing and the payment of a license fee of $10 00 and the registration with the City Clerk of a Master Plumber's Certificate issued by the Board of Plumbers Examiners of the City and County of Denver Colorado said certificate being then ano there in full force and effect and the filing of a bond as in said Ordinance required the Clerk shall issue such license to such applicant and the same shall unless sooner suspended or revoked continue in force for one year from the issue thereof The bond required by this section shall run to the city and shall be in the sum of one thousand dollars with such sureties as the Mayor shall approve co-ditione for the faithful performance of the duties required by ordinance rule or regulation of the council and that he will suitaoly guard and protect any excavations or obstructions and defend save and keep harmless the city of and from all actions suits costs damages and expenses which shall or may at any time happen or come to it for and on account of any injury or damage n received or sustainea by any person caused by any negligence or from any unfaithful or inadequate work done under his license .Yrnr n cam_ � i'hat a Journeyman plumber shall be construed to be a plumber actually engaged in the work of plumbing From and after March lst 1913 no person shall be engaged in carrying on the work of plumbing as a ,journeyman plumber within the said city W 4 ---= no e e application t e i y er in pon such app ica ion registt4 aQ& with the City Clerk of a ,journeyman plumber' s certificate issued by the Board of P + , the City and County of Denver Colorado ^ihberserlxaminers.Irof e shall sue such license to such applicant and the Same shall unless sooner suspended or revoked continue in force from one year from the issue thereof No apprentice or assistant in and about any plumbing work or Job shall be allowed to work thereat except unaer the personal supervision of a ,journeyman plumber who has filed hisl�dertificate e- entt—r U such #ret-3--�Qe� � $ a��aha�, "` d s tee ions, r obs n� is s amag ana any ttme en Go :1 accoun n wage v y an neg igen th in , r SECTIOI' Tnat Section 1 of Articl 3 be amended bj adding thereto Sub-division (S ) which said added Sub-division " (S )" shall read as follows (5)That all range and kitchen boilers hereafter installed within the City of Fort Collins shall be made of metal complying with the specifications of said Ordinance and In additign shall be made of material that shall not be less than what is known to the trade as "extra heavy" Passed and adopted ssgned and approved this day of A D 1913 MAYOR ATT;ST CITY CLERK -3- SERIES OF 1913.-T� Or AnRTICLE 2 t AN ORDIXAITCI Al2!1DI TG SECTIO.cT. That Section 1 of Article 2 of said Ordinance To. 12 of the aeries of 1907 entitled, " An Ord- inance in relation to "lambing, " be amended to read -as follovis, NO wit: " EO person shall engage in actually doing any plumbing as a journeyman plumber until he shall register with the City Clerk of the said City, a iourneynan plumber's certificate issued by the Board of Plumber Examiners of the City and County of Denver, Colorado, which said certificate shall be in full force and effect; and no person shall engage in the business of plumbing in said City as a master or ernployin,�- plumber or in any buw ess which has as one of its ob-ects the e:jploying of journeyman plumbers to do actual plurnbin` work in connection with the 1carryinL., on of any such business in Said City without a license so to do.
