An ordinance authorizing the extension of Fort Collins Combined
Public and District Sanitary Sewer No. 18.
Whereas, a petition nas been presented to the city council, pray-
ing for an extension of Fort Collins Combined Public and District San-
itary Sewer No. 18, irom the north line of Mountain avenue at the iii-
tersgetioa thereof witi, College avenue to the north line of Oak street
at the intersection thereof witn College avenue, and
Whereas, said petition is signed by the owners of a majority of
the frontage property abutting upon such extension of said sewer, and
the extension of said sewer as prayed for iii said petition is neces-
sary for the public health, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'T'H CITY OF FORT COLLINS,
COLORADO:
Section 1. That the extension of Fort Collins Combined Public
and District Sanitary Sewer from the end of the sane at the intersec-
tion of College avenue and the north line of mountain avenue to the
intersection of College avenue with the north line of Oak street is
hereby ordered, in accordance with Ordinance No. 12-1890, axed in ac-
cordance with the plans and specifications adopted for the same by the
2--Z.—
city council April 35, 1907.
Section 2. That a committee consisting of three aldermen shall
be appointed by the city council, who shall have charge of and shall
supervise the construction of said improvement, in accordance with the
provisions of Ordinance No. 19-1884. 6u-
Section 3. That the cost of said sewer extension shall be as-
sesse¢pr4ata against the lots and parcels of land adjacent to and op-
posite such extension, in proportion to the frontage of such amE par-
cels of land abutting upon the street wherein such extension is laid;
provided, that the cost of cmistructing said extension at any street

intersection or//crossiikg shall be wholly paid for by the city. All
assessments f 0tt he construction of said improvement shall be levied,

assessed and collected in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance
No. 19-1884.
Section 4. If' any piece of real estate itias already an improve-
ment conforming to the generrLl plan of the improvement herein author-
ized, or which the city council may find to be satisfactory to it, an
allowaFLce zaay be made therefor to the owner, the same to be deducted

from his assessment and from the contract price of said sawer exten-
sion.
Section 5. Said improvement shall be paid for in warrants of
the city of Fort Collins, which shall be payable out of the funds col-
lected oil account of the assessments made for said improvement. Said
warra:ats shall be of such date, in such form, payable at such times
and in such denominations as may be hereafter prescribed by the city
council, and shall be executed, issued and disposed of as the city
council may direct.
