Section 1. E_'"'LO=rTT A=CIES• It shall be unlawful for
any )arson, firm, association, conpany or corporation to open,
operate or maintain with,1the corporate limits of the City of Fort
Collins a ;)rivate employment agency for hire, or where a fee is
charged to eitrier ap.licant for ermployment or for help without first
obtaining a license for the same as provided in this ordinance. Free
employment agencies are hereby excepted from the provisions of this
ordinance.
Section 2. LICENSE F=S• The fee for license for a
private enplo;mient agency for hire shall be Fifty w50.oc) Dollars
for each fiscal year, or portion thoraof, ending on the 31st day of
December of each year.
Section 3. LICENSE - BD?; OBTAINED. The license provided for
in this ordinance shall be issued only upon ap-_lication, and approval
by the Cm=issioner of Safety and Ex-Officio ",mayor, signed by the City
Clerk, upon the 1--gTment in advance of the fee provided for and counter-
signed by the Commissioner of Safety and Ex-Officio :iay.,r; such license
shall be valid only in the hands of the person to whom it is iwivad and
shall not be transferrable except upon the order of the City Co- .nail
and u_jon the payment of the sum of Five ($5.00) Dollars to the City of
Fort Collins, I:o such license shall be issued until the ap.11icant
therefor shall first deposit with the City Tra surer a surety bond in
the penal sum of Two Thousand (PL,XC.00) Dollars to be approvod by the
CoIIsis ,loner of Safety and E;Officio lla"ycr; such bond shall be made
payable to the City of Fort Collins and shall be conditioned that the
person, firm, association, company or corporation ap2lying for the
license shall cooly with the provis' -)ns of this ordinance and shall
ray all damages oecasi -ad to any person or persons by reason of any mis-
statements or mis-representatic:na or fraud or deceit of any person or persons,
their agents or employees in carrying on the employVaint agency for Which the

an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and
safety and this ordinance shell take effect upon its passage and public".tion,
under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sectic:ns 6 and 7 of Article
IV of the City Charter.

the unanimous vote of all ;:embers of the Council, as an emergency ordinance,
in accordance with the provisi ns of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the
City Charter, and t2A reafter, on to-wit: the of April, A. D.
1924, svid Ordinance 70. was duly .-,ubli3had in the Fort Collins
Express-Co,:risr, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado.
