HomeMy WebLinkAbout012 - 05/03/1924 - RELATING TO THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 004, 1921, RELATING TO LICENSING FOR HORSE D ORDNANCE NO. /z', 1924 BEING AN EP.T:RGENCY ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE A;.IENDMENT OF SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 4, 1921, RELATING TO LICENSES FOR HORSE DRAVT AND MOTOR PROPELLED VEHICLES FOR HIRE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIE CITY OF FORT COLL_'NS: Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 4, 1921, being an ordinance relating to the lic=nses for horse drawn and motor propelled ' vehicles for hire, be amended by adding thereto sub-divisicn (f) to read as follows: "(f) No unlicensed automobile, truck or team shall solicit business at any point on the streets within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins." Section 2. In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public, health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication, under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter. ROSENOW, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing ordinance consisting of two(2) sections was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 3rd day of May, 1924, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express- Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fbrt Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the Council, as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 9 of Article I4 of the City Charter; and thereafter, and on, to-wit: the '�' day of May, A. D. 1924, said Ordinance No. /Z was duly published in the Fort Collins Express- Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado.
