BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE LICENSING OF BICYCLES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Or THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 It snall be unlawful for any person to operate
or use any bicycle on any of the streets, alleys, parkways or public
places in the City of Fort Collins without first having procured a
license therefor, or without having a proper license tag attached to
said bicycle
Section 2 Saia licenses shall be issued upon appli-
cation being made to the City Clerk in such form as shall be prescribed,
and payment of an annual license fee of fifty cents for each such
license Said licenses shall expire on the last day of June next
after their issuance The City Clerk shall furnish with each license
a license tag with such numbers and inscription that the same may be
readily identified, and shall deliver to the Police Department a copy
of each application, with the license number endorsed thereon
Section 3 No person other than the other or some
one authorized by him may remove any such license tag from any bicycle
while said license tag is in force, and no person may place, use, or
permit the use of any such tag on any bicycle other than the one for
which it was issued
Section 4 Any person violating any of the terms of
this ordinance shall , on conviction, be fined not eyceeding the sum
of ten dollars
Section 5 In the opinion of the City Council an
emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and
safety and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, under
and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of
Article IV of the City Charter
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous
vote of all members of the City Council this 29th day of June, A D
1934

I, A J ROSENOW, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins,
do hereby certify and declare that the aforesaid Ordinance, consisting
of five (5) sections, was duly proposed and read at length at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 29th day of June, A D 1934,
and ,vas duly adopted and ordered published in the FortCollins Express-
Courier a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of
Fort Collins by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council,
as an Emergency Ordinance in accordance with the provisions of
Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter and
on to-vit the _/ day of July, A D 1934, said Ordinance No / 4"
was duly published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily news-
paper published in the City of Fort Collins Colorado
