HomeMy WebLinkAbout015 - 09/26/1947 - AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 011, 1917, RELATING TO FOOD, AND CREATING THE OFFICE OF FOOD INSPECTOR (EMERG ORDINANCE NO 15. 1947 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 11, 1917, RELATING TO FOOD, AND CREATING THE OFFICE OF FOOD INSPECTOR, BY ADDING THERETO SECTION 2IB, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 0^ THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Ordinance No 11, Series of 1917, be and the same is hereby amended bj adding thereto Section 21B to read as follows, to-wit "Section 21B --All meat or meat food products, whether fresh, cured, cooked , or otherwise processed, transported into the City of Fort Collins shall be hauled in a closed truck which is refrigerated to main- tain a temperature no higher than 450 F at any time during transit and at time of arrival The meat or meat products so transported shall be delivered to final destination, the retailer or consumer, in the refrigerated truck Hauling to a central point or depot in Fort Collins in the refrigerated vehicle and then transferring to an unrefrigerated vehicle for final delivery is hereby prohibited Refrigeration may be by mechanical means, dry ice, or natural ice, but the method used must redueb the temperature of the enclosed truck to 450 F and must maintain the interior of the enclosed truck at that temperature or less " Section 2 All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an ,emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced, read at length, and adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council, at an adjourned meeting of the City Council, held this 26th day of September, A D 1947 B yor Attest �j / City Clerk J STATE OF COLORADO, ) as County of Larimer ) I, MILES F HOUSE, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the aforesaid Ordinance, consisting of three Sections, was duly proposed and read at length at an adjourned meeting of the City Council held on the 26th day of September, A D 1947, and was duly anopted and ordered published in The Fort Collins Coloradoan, a daily newspaper and official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council, as an Emergency Ordinance , in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter and thereafter and on, to-wit The 30th day of September, A D 1947, said Ordinance No 15 was duly published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City, this 30th day of September, A D 1947
