BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19, OF
ORDINANCE NO 12, 1917 , RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF
THE USE AND OCCUPAn OF STREETS, ALLEYS AND PUBLIC
GROUNDS, PASSFD AND ADOPTED APRIL 301 1917
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That section 19 of ordinance 12, 1917 ,
relating to the regulation of the use and occupancy of streets,
alleys and public grounds, passed and adopted April 30 , 1911,
be amended so as to read as follows "Section 19" It shall
be unlawful for any person, persons or corporation to use or
occupy any street , alley or public ground for the purpose of
moving building across or thereon, without first having ob-
tained a permit therefor from the Department of Public Works
Said permit shall be issued only upon a written application there-
for by the person, persons or corporation so desiring to use
or occupy the street for moving purposes , and upon a form to be
prescribed by the Commissioner of Public Works Any permit which
may be issued under the provisions of this section shall provide
persons to whom it is issued expressly agree to save the City
of Fort Collins harmless on account of any damage or injury to
the street , alley or public ground so used, and on account of
any damage or injury that may be sustained by any person or per-
sons by reason of the use and occupancy of the street by the
person so obtaining a permit , provided that if the person or
corporation employed to move such building or buildings is
duly licensed under the provisions of General Section 96 of
the Fort Collins Code , then all permits issued to such licensed
persons shall contain the provision that the bond of said
save it harm -ass on account of any damar or injury to the street ,
alley or public grounds so used, and on account of any damage
or injury that may be sustained by any person or persons by
reason of the use and occupancy of the street by the licensee so
obtaining this permit
Section 2. In the opinion of the City Council an
emergency exists for the preservation of the puolic health, peace
and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage
and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained
In Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the un-
animous vote of ail the members of the City Council this 8th day
of April, 1924

vote of all members of the Council , as an emergency ordinance, in
