BEING AN Ei:IERGENCY ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE =PIITG OF RIVES OF
BEES PTITHIN THE COF?OR^,TE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AND
PROVIDING A PMITALTY MR VIOLATION THEREOF,
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIM CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That the keeping of hives of bees within the
corporate limits of the City of Fort Rollins is a menace to the
public health and safety of the lives of the inhabitants of the said
city, and is hereby declared to be a nuisance.
Section 2. The keeping of hives of bees within the corporate
limits of the City of Fort Collins is hereby prohibited.
Section 3. Any person., persons, or corporations violating the
provisions of thI s ord anc, shall upon conviction be fined in a sum
not less than _W5..00L__TwePty-five Dblldrs nor more than Three
Hundred Dollars and costs of s--it, and each day of continuance shall
constitute a separate offence.
Section 4. In the cllnion of the City Council an emergency
eiists for the preservation, of the public health, peace and safety, and
this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication under
and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 5 and 7 of Article
IV of the City Charter.
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote
of all the members of the City Council this 24th day of June, 1922.

me sting of the City Council held on the 24th day of June, 1922, was duly
adopted and ordered published in The Fort Collins Courier, a daily
newspaper and the official ne-aspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the
unaaimous vote of all members of the Council, as an emergency ordinance,
in accordance with the provisions of Sections B and 7 of Article I9 of
the City Charter; and thereafter, on towit: the a7-tjl_ day of June,
1922, said Ordinance No. _-Ir,_ was duly published in the Fort Collins
Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado.
