BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TETE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. No person, firm or corporation,
whether owner, proprietor, agent or employee, shall keep
open, operate or assist in keeping open or operating any
place or premises or residences , whether open or enclosed.,
for the purpose of selling , bartering or exchanging, or
offering for sale, barter or exchange, any motor vehicle, or
motor vehicles, whether new , used or second hand, on the first
day of the week, commonly called Sunday, and also on the
following motional Legal Holidays , namely: New Year' s Day,
Decoration Day , Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day
and Christmas Day.
Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation,
violating any of the provisions of this ordinance , shall,
upon conviction, be fined not less than Fifty (450,00)
Dollars , nor more than Three Hundred ( p300.0O) Dollars,
and each day' s violation of this ordinance shall constitute
a separate offense.
Section 3. In the opinion of the City Council
an emergency exists for the preservation of the public heglth,
peace and safety, and this Ordinance shall take effect upon
its passage , under and by virtue of the authority contained
in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter.
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the
unanimous vote of all members of the City Council, at a
regular meeting held this 3,p . day of December, :'..D.1938.

I, MILES F HOUSE, City Clerk of the City of Fort
Collins , do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing
Ordinance, consisting of three (3) Sections, was auly proposed
and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council,
held on the 23rd day of December, A D 1938, and was duly
adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-
Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of
the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members
of the Council, as an emergency Ordinance, in accordance with
the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City
Charter, and thereafter, and on to-wit the 27th day of
December, 1938, said Ordinance No 12 was duly published in
the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper published
in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the seal of said City, this 27th day of December,
