BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE TRIMMING OF TREES
AND THE MAINTENANCE OF A CLEAR SPACE BETWEEN THE BRANCHES OF
TREES AND THE SIDEWALKS AND STREETS OF SAID CITY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1. That the owner of every house,
building or premise, who shall permit the branches of any tree
whatsoever to project over any street, avenue or sidewalk in
front or on the side of such premise or building, lower than
eeellmt (%) feet from the surface of such street, avenue or side-
walk, shall be guilty of a violation of this Ordinance, and
shall be subject to fine in a sum not less than Five ($5.00)
Dollars nor more than Fifty ($50.00 ) Dollars for such offense.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with this ordinance, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. In the opinion of the City Council
an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health,
peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take dffect upon its
passage and publication, under and by virtue of the authority
contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IY of the City Charter.
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the
unanimous vote of all members of the City Council at a regular
meeting of the City Council, held the 9th day of October, A. D.
1931.

going Ordinance, consisting of three (3) sections, was duly
proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 9th day of October, A D. 1931, and was duly
adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier,
a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort
Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council,
as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of
Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter
and on to-wit: the 13th day of October, A D. 1931, said Ordinance
No. 5 was duly published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a
daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my
hand and affixed the seal of said City this 13th day of October,
