ESTABLISHING RATES TO BE CHARGED AT THE CITY DUMP AND
REDUIRING ALL PERSONS DUMPING AT SAID DUMP TO PAY FOR
SAID PRIVILEGE PLACING THE OPERATION OF THE CITY DUMP
UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, AUTHORIZING THE PRO-
iTULGATION OF RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE OPERATION
OF THE CITY DUMP PROHIBITING DUMPING OF RUBBISH AND
WASTE MATTER OTHER THAN AT THE CITY DUMP, AND PRQVID-
ING PENALTIES THEREFOR

4 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 The following rates for the privilege of using and deposit-
ing refuse, rubbish and other waste matter upon and in the City dump of the City

of Fort Collins are hereby established to be effective on and after passage of
this Ordinance
A Minimum charge for passenger automobiles and two-wheeled trailers
Ten cents ($ 10)
c°� 3 Minimum charges for flour-wheel trailers and pickups TwentyFive Cents ( 25)
E:t Minimum charge for = trucks Fifty cents ($ 50)
Monthly flat rate for Colorado A and M College and for trash haulers

holding motor vehicle licenses Thirty Dollars ($30 00)
E) Monthly flat rate for individual business firms Three Dollars ($3 00)
Section 2 The operation of the City dump shall be under the jurisdic-
tion of the Department of Health, and the Director of the Department of Health and/or
the City Manager shall promulgate from time to time rules and regulations for the
use of the City dump and for the collection of said dump fees and all other matters
pertinent to the operation of the City dump, which shall not be inconsistent with
the terms and provisions of this Ordinance
Section 3 It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to deposit or
cause to be deposited in any street, avenue, alley, or public ground within the
corporate limits, except in the area established as the City dump, any garbage,
filth, rubbish, debris, waste matter, manure, ashes, vegetable matter or any sub-
stance offensive to the sense of sight or smell, or which shall tend to produce an
unsightly, unhealthy or uncleanly condition of any such street, avenue, alley or
public ground
Section It It shall be unlawful to haul or cause to be hauled on any
street, avenue, or alley, any rubbish, debris, or other wate matter in any con-
veyance without having such rubbish, debris, or other waste matter securely con-
tained so that litter will not be deposited on the streets, avenues, or alleys
Section 5 Any person or persons guilty of the violation of any of
the provisions of this Ordinance, upon conviction thereof, may be punished by a
fine of not more than $100 00 or by imprisonment for not more than thirty days
Section 6 All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered published
this 24th day of May, A D 1956, and to be presented for final passage on the
28th day of June, A D 1956
