HomeMy WebLinkAbout017 - 11/21/1956 - VACATING THE NORTH, SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK 290, LOOMIS ADDITION 1 ORDINANCE NO 17 1956 , VACATING THE NORTH, SOUTFFA=Y IN BLOCK 290, LOOMIS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, ACCORDING TO RE-SUBDIVISION FLAT FILED JANUARY 30, 1902. 1 WHEREAS, the plat of Re-Subdivision of Block 290, Loomis Addi- tion to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, filed in the office of the County Clerk and Recorder of Larimer County on Janu 1 ary 302 1902, shows a North, South alley extending through the South on I e-half (S2) of said block, ana I WHEREAS, attempts were previously made by the City Council of I the City of Fort Collins to vacate said North, South alley or parts thereof by actions of the City Council on March 21,E 1906 and August 12, i 1907, which said actions by the City Council have been considered in- I sufficient to fully vacate said North, South alley,j and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has been I petitioned to cause said North, South alley in said Block 290 i Him to be vacated, and WHEREAS, it appears that the alley requested to be vacated has never been opened to public travel and is not now opened to the public and no public funds have been expenaed on such alley, and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins is of the opinion that it will be to the best interests of the City to vacate said alley as hereinafter described BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That the North, South alley in Block 290, Loomis Addition to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, according to Re-Subdivi- sion plat filed January 30, 1902, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit Commencing at a point 190 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Block 290, running thence North 200 feet, thence West 20 feet, thence South 200 feet, thence East 20 feet, to the place of beginning, l be and the same is hereby vacated, abolished and abandoned Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this 25th I clay of October , A D 1956j and to be pre Isented for final passage on the 21st day of November, A D 1956. 1 y � Mayor I ATTEST City Clerk I Passed and adopted on final reading this 21st day of November , I A D 1956 Mayor ATTEST City Clerk i I I
