HomeMy WebLinkAbout022 - 07/09/1959 - APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $2, 500 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1959 FOR EXPENSES TO THE INCURRED IN IMPROVING ORDINANCE NO 22-1 1959 APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2 500 00) FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1959 FOR EXPENSES TO BE INCURRED IN IMPROVING CLEARVIEW AVENUE WHEREAS the City of Fort Collins has heretofore accepted a deed to certain lands abutting on Clearview Avenue which said lands were conveyed to the City for park purposes and WHEREAS Miller Brothers Construction Company is developing for residential purposes the lands abutting on said Clearview Avenue and across said avenue from said park lands and WHEREAS said company has requested that the City join with it in the improvement of said Clearview Avenue where the same abutts on said park lands and WHEREAS the City Manager through the City Engineer has advised the the City Council that it would be advantageous to have the curb and gutter installed on the City s side of said avenue in order to control the drainage thereof and to keep traffic off the park area and WHEREAS said City Engineer has estimated that the cost of the curb and gutter including drainage structures would be in the amount of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2 500 00) and WHEREAS the budget for the year 1959 does not include an item for this expenditure and WHEREAS the actual necessity to meet the expense of said improvement of Clearview Avenue has arisen from the unforseen contingency above mentioned arising after the passage of the annual appropriation ordinance BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That there be and there is hereby appropriated for the expenses of the improvement of Clearview Avenue as above mentioned abutting on lands heretofore conveyed to the City of Fort Collins for park purposes the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred and no/100 Dollars ($2 500 00) which said sum shall be and is hereby transfered for said purpose out of the general fund surplus Introduced considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this 11 th day of June A D 1959 and to be presented for final passage on the 9th day of July A D 1959 Mayo ATTEST City Merk Passed and adopted on final reading this 9th day of July A D 1959 Mayor ATTEST city CAerk
