BEING AN MMGENCY ORDINANCE AMNLQNG ORDINANCE NO. 17, 19363 AS AID M,
REGULATING THE USE OF AND TR&MC UPON THE PUBLIC STRMTS, ALLEIS AND
SIDEWALKS OF THL CITY OF FORT COLLINS, PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLA-
TION THEREOF, REPEALING ALL QRaNANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN BNERMCY.
BE IT ORDaIIM BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FDRT COLLINS
Section 1. It shall be unlawful to drive, move, or operate
any vehicle or combination of vehicles larger than the sizes and weights
listed below within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins,
except on State or Federal highways, or as otherwise provided in Section 2
hereof, and it shall be unlawful to drive, move, or operate any vehicle or
combination of vehicles upon State or Federal highways within said corporate
limits of the City of Fort Collins, except in compliance with the laws of
the State of Colorados

Section 2. The City Engineer shall designate streets and alleys
on which vehicles or combination of vehicles exceeding the sizes and weights
listed in Section 1, may be moved or operated in cases of emergency.
In the event of an emergency, application must first be made to and
authorisation obtained from the City Engineer before such vehicles
or combination of vehicles may be moved on said designated streets and
alleys.
Section 3a Any person or persons, association, partnership
or corporation who shall violate any provision of this ordinance, "hall
be guilty of a violation of this ordinance and upon eonviction thereof,
shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed One Hundred (100.00)
Dollars and shall pay all damages caused the City of Port Collins by
the operation of vehicles in violation of this ordinance*
Section 4* All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 5. In the opinion of the City Council an emergency
exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and
this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, under and by virtue
of the authority contained in Section 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City
Charter.
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote
of all members of the City Council, at a regular meeting held this 7th

I, Miles Fe House, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins,
do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing Ordinance, consisting
of five sections, was duly proposed and read at length at a regular
meeting of the City Council, held on the-7th day of September,
Ae De 1951s and was duly adopted and ordaFR p—n Hahed in the Fort
Collins Coloradoan, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of
the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the
City Council as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions
of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter
and on to-wits the 11th day of September , As De 1951s

Coloradoan, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado.
