HomeMy WebLinkAbout001 - 01/06/1949 - REZONING THE SOUTH HALF OF BLOCK 151, THE EAST HALF OF THE NORTH HALF OF BLOCK 195, THE TRIANGLE AT ORDINANCE NO. 1, 1949 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 10, 19292 AS AIIENDED, BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT TIE LOCATIONS OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, AND TO DIVIDE THE CITY INTO CERTAIN DISTRICTS, COI,MONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, AND CHANGING THE SOUTH HALF OF BLOCK 151 , THE EAST HALF OF BLOCK 162, THE EAST HALF OF BLOCK 173 , THE EAST HALF OF BLOCK 184, ThE NORTH HALF OF BLOCK 195, THE TRIANGLE AT RIVERSIDE AVENUE AND OAK_ STREET, THE TRIANGLE AT RIVERSI➢E AVENUE-AND OLIVE STREET, THE TRIANGLE AT RIVERSIDE AVENUE AND MAGNOLIA STREET, THE TRIANGLE AT RIVERSIDE AVENUE AND MULBERRY STREET, AND THE TRIANGLE AT RIVERSIDE AVENUE EAST OF ENDICOTT STREET TO "Ell COI`llIMERCIAL DISTRICT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITI OF FORT COLLINS That Ordinance No 10 of the Series of 1929 as amended, being an emergency ordinance to regulate and restrict the loca- tions of buildings and structures and the use of buildings and structures and land, the height and size of buildings and other structures, the area and dimensions of open space in building lots, the density of population, and for said purpose to divide the Gity into districts, and the zoning map adopted in connection there- with, be and the same is hereby amended by adding to Section II , entitled "Zoning District Regulations ," the following, to-wit Section 1 The zoning district map heretofore adopted and declared to be a part of this Ordinance shall be changed and amended and is hereby changed and amended so that the South Half of Block 151 in the City of Fort Collins shall be taken from "C" Residence District and put into and made a part of "E" Commer- cial District , that the triangle at Riverside Avenue and Oak Street ana the triangle at Riverside Avenue and Olive Street in the City of Fort Collins shall be taken from "D" Commercial District and put into and made a part of "E" Commercial District, that the East Half of Block 162 and the East Half of Block 173 , the East Half of Block 184, the North Half of Block 195 , the triangle at Riverside Avenue and Magnolia Street, the triangle at Riverside Avenue and Mulberry Street and the triangle at Riverside Avenue East of Endicott Street in the City of Fort Collins shall be taken from "B" Residence District and be put into and made a part of "En Commercial District Section 2 That the City Engineer shall forthwith amend the original zoning district map in compliance with the amendments and changes herein established Section 3 All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed Section 4 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unani- mous vote of all the members of the City Council at a regular meeting held this 6th day of January, A D 1949 Uarmissioner of 3afoty and Ex-Officio Mayor Attest City Clerk 2 - � 1 STATE OF COLORADO) ss COUNTY OF LARIMER) I , MILES F.
