BEING AN EIMRGENCY ORDINANCE VACATING AN ALLEY IN GLOVER'S
SUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 169, FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, ACCORDING
TO PLAT FILED SEPTEMBER 30, 1909
WHEREAS, the plat of Glover's Subdivision of Block 169, Fort Collins,
Colorado, filed on September 30, 1909, shows an alley running north and south
in said subdivision, and
WHEREAS, said alley is not necessary for any purpose by the public
and is detrimental to the abutting land owners, which said alley is more
particularly described as follows, to-wit
8ommencing at the Northwest corner of lot 17 in Glover's Subdivision
of Block 169, Fort Collins, Colorado, thence South along the
West line of Lots 17 and 18 of said Subdivision to the Southwest
corner of lot 18, thence West 30 feet to the Southeast corner
of lot 20 in said Subdivision, thence North along the east
line of lots 20 and 19 of said Subdivision to the Northeast
corner of lot 19, thence east 30 feet to the point of beginning
AND WHEREAS, the owners of the lots abutting on said portion of said
alley have petitioned the City Council of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado,
to cause the same to be vacated, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it will be to the
best interests of the City of Fort Collins to vacate said portion of said alley
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAEM BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS
Section 1 That the alley running north and South in Glover's Sub-
division of Block 169, Fort Collins, Colorado, according to plat filed September
30, 1909, more particularly described as follows, to-wit
Commencing at the Northwest corner of lot 17 in Glover's Subdivision
of Block 169, Fort Collins, Colorado, thence South along the
West line of Lots 17 and 18 of said Subdivision to the Southwest
corner of lot 18, thence West 30 feet to the Southeast corner of
lot 20 in said Subdivision, thence North along the east line of
lots 20 and 19 of said Subdivision to the Northeast corner of lot
19, thence east 30 feet to the point of beginning
be and the same is hereby vacated, abolished and abandoned

Section 2 That rights of way or easements are hereby reserved for
the continued use of existing sewer, gas, water or similar pipelines aid appur—
tenances, and for electric, telephone and similar lines and appurtenances
Section 3 In the opinion of the Citv Council an emergency exists
for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance
shall take effect upon its passage under and by virtue of the authority contained
in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter
Introduced, read at length, and adopted by the unanimous vote of all
members of the City Council, at a regular meeting held this 12th day of September,

I, MTT F HOUSE, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado,
do hereby certify and declare that the aforesaid Ordinance, consisting of
three sect3.ons, was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of
the City Council, held on the 12th day of September, A D 1952, and was duly
adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, a daily news-
paper and official newspaper of the City of Fort Gollins, Colorado, by the
unanimous vote of all members of the City Council, as an Emergency Ordinance,
in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the
City Charter, and thereafter and on, to-wit the i(,th day of September,
A D 1952, said Ordinance No 7 was duly published in the Fort Collins
Coloradoan, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal
