ORDINANCE NO 14 , 1954
BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION
OF RIVERSIDE AVENUE, WHE.DBLE STREET AND OAK
STREET, ALL IN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO,
LYING ADJACENT TO BLOCK "D" Ih THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, COLORADO
WHEREAS the o4ners of all of Block "D" in the City of Fort
Collins , Colorado, have petitioned the City Council to cause the
vacation of the following described portions of Riverside Avenue,
Tdhedoee Street and Oak Street in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado,
adjacent to Block "D" in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, des-
cribed as follows, to-wit
1 Ten feet of Riverside Avenue parallel and adjacent
to BlocY "D" in the City of Fort Collins, and
2 Fifteen feet of Whedbee Street adjacent to Block "D"
and on the west side thereof, and
3 Fifteen feet of Oak Street on the south side of
Block "D" and adjacent thereto,
So that after such vacation the property lines of
Block "D" will be as follows -
On Riverside Avenue, parallel to the southerly line
of Riverside Avenue and ten feet southerly from the
face of the curb thereof extended, and the west
nropertl line of Block "D" will be parallel with
the present west line of Jdhedbee Street and five
feet east of the face of the present curb line of
Tnedbee Street, and the South property line of Block
"D" rill be parallel to the south line of Oak Street
and five feet north of the face of the present curb
line,
AND WHEREAS, said streets sought to be vacated have never
been travelled portions of said streets,
AND '=REAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it rill
be to the best interests of the City to vacate the portions of saia
Riverside Avenue, vdhedbee Street and Oak Street as above described,
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1. That the portion of Riverside Avenue, Whedbee
Street and Oak Street adjoining Block "D" in the City of Fort
Collins, Colorado, more particularly describea as follows -
1. Ten feet of Riverside Avenue parallel and adjacent
to Block "D" in the City of Fort Collins, and
2 Fifteen feet of IJhedbee Street adjacent to Block "D"
and on the west side thereof, and
3 Fifteen feet of Oak Street on the south side of
Block "D" and adjacent thereto,
So that after such vacation the property lines of
Block "D" will be as follows
On Riverside Avenue.. parallel to the southerly line
of Riverside Avenue and ten feet soutnerly from the
face of the curb thereof extended, and the west
property line of Blocl- "D" w-11 be parallel with
the present west line of Thodbee Street and five
feet east of the face of the present curb line of
Whedbee Street, and the south property line of
Block "D" rill be parallel to the south line of
Oak Street and five feet north of the face of the
present curb line,
be and the same is hereby vacated, abolished and abandoned, pursuant
to the ordinances of the City of Fort Collins, and the statutes of
the State of Colorado in such case made and provided, and particularly
under the provisions of Chapter 217 of the 1949 Session Laws of the
State of Colorado
Section 2 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency
e), ists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety,
and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage under and by
virtue of the authority contained in Section 6 & 7 of Article IV
of the City Charter
Introduced, read at length, and adopted by the unanimous
vote of all members of the City Council, at a regular meeting held
this 14.th day of June, A D 1954 _

I, PALES F HOUSE, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins,
do hereby certify and declare that the aforesaid Ordinance, con-
sisting of two sections , was duly proposed and reaa at length at a
regular meeting of the City Council, held June 4, A D 1954, and
was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan,
a daily newspaper and official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins ,
by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council, as an
Emergency Ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of sections
6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter and on,
to-wit the 8th day of June, A D 1954, said Ordinance No. 11;
was duly published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, a daily newspaper
publis'-ied in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
