HomeMy WebLinkAbout038 - 04/26/1973 - AMENDING SECTIONS 42-5, 42-6 AND 42-8 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO PERPETUAL CARE ON CEMETERY LOTS ORDNANCE NO 38, 1973, BhlivG AN ORDINANCE MU NDING SLCTIONS 42-5, 42-6 AND 42-8 OF fHF CODE 01 THI CITY OF FORT COLLINS MATING TO PFRPETUAI CARF ON CI•METARY LOIS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THI CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Section 42-5 of the Code of the City of Fc t Collins be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows "Section 42 5 Perpetual Care Fee "Fveiy puichvsGr of a lot of space in � cemetary owned by the City shall be required, in additioi to the payment of the puce fined for said lot, to ply a perpetual care fee in connection with the purchase of such lot or space Such fee shall be in the amount established fiom time to time by the City Council, i%hich fee shall be used by the City to oiade, seed to lawn grass, and take perpetual case of the lots for which such fees are paid " Section 2 That Section 42-6 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be, and the same hereby is, ri-pealed Section 3 That Section 42-8 of the Code of the City of Fort , Collins be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as folloi,s "Section 42-8 Perpetual Caie Fund "It shall be the duty of the Director of Finance to Leep a separate account of all moneys received as perpetual case fees in a separate fund, and the fund so created shall be known and designated as the perpetual case fund All amounts now held by the Director of Finance in the Perpetual Care Fund, Grandview Cemetary, shall be paid over into the perpetual care fund on the effective date of this ordinance Said fund shall be invested or appropriated as may be determined by the City Council provided that all appropriations shall be for a use consistent with the purpose of such fund " Introduced, considered favorably on the first reading, and ordered published this rth day of April, A D 1973, and to be presented for final passage on the 26th day of April, A D 1973 ATTEST -, 4/ Ma or �Z2( /f, --- City Cierk L J r A D 1973 Passed and adopted on final reading this �2( aday of , ATTLST Mayor C_ty Clork -2-
