ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE PLAT OF WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE
SOUTH COLLEGE AVENUE CONSOLIDATED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY
OF FORT COLLINS COLORADO AND AUTHORIZING THE ANNEXA-
TION OF ALL THE TERRITORY EMBRACED IN SAID PLAT TO THE
CITY OF FORT COLLINS THE SAME TO BE MADE A PART OF THE
CITY OF FORT COLLINS AND TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE LIMITS
AND JURISDICTION THEREOF PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY CON-
TAINED IN ARTICLE 11 CHAPTER 139 COLORADO REVISED
STATUTES 1953
14HEREAS heretofore a written petition has been presented to
the Council of the City of Fort Collins in substantial compliance with the
provisions of Article 11 Chapter 139 Colorado Revised Statutes 1953 by
209 individuals purporting to be 83 8/ of the qualified electors in the
area of the territory involved and further purporting to be the owners
of 85 8/ of the area of the land embraced in what is known as the South
College Avenue Consolidated Annexation to the City of Fort Collins wherein
and whereby said petitioners and applicants petitioned the City of Fort
Collins for the annexing of all the territory embraced in what is known
as the South College Avenue Consolidated Annexation to the City of Fort
Collins Colorado comprising the lands shown in the plat thereof attached
to said petition and more particularly described as hereafter set forth
and
WHEREAS said petition was accepted by the Council of the City
of Fort Collins by resole ion passed and adopted on the 21st day of
February A D 1957 and
WHEREAS notice for hearing on the 28th day of March A D
1957 on an ordinance approving the annexation of said territory and in-
cluding the same within the limits and jurisdiction of the City of Fort
Collins was duly published as provided by law and
WHEREAS the Council of the City of Fort Collins has found that
the petition and the documents attached thereto meet the requirements of
Article 11 Chapter 139 Colorado Revised Statutes 1953 and
WHEREAS no proceedings for an election to determine the question
of annexation have been initiated by written counter-petition as provided
by law and no objection to annexation having been made
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That after due consideration of the petition for
annexation that the petition for the annexation of all the territory in
what is known and described as the South College Avenue Consolidated
Annexation to the City of tort Collins Colorado as shown by the plat
thereof annexed to said petition and which is more particularly described
as follows to-wit
Part of the E' of Section 23 and part of the W' of Section 24 in
Township 7 North Range 69 West of the 6th P M Larimer County Colorado
contained within boundary lines which considering the North line of the NW4
of said Section 24 as bearing due East and with all bearings herein relative
thereto begin at the NW corner of said Section 24 and run
thence N 89 28 W 523 55 feet along the North line of the NE4
of said Section 23 to the Easterly line of the right-of-way of the Colorado
and Southern Railway Company
thence S 0 6' E 530 47 feet along said right-of-way line
thence Southerly along said right-of-way line which is a 4 490
foot radius curve to the right a distance of 506 76 feet the long chord
of which bears S 3 08' W 506 49 feet
thence S 6 22' W 289 63 feet along said right-of way line to
the NW corner of Lot 1 in Spring Court Subdivision
thence S 6 22 W 785 39 feet along the Easterly line of said
right-of way line which line is also the Westerly line of said Spring Court
Subdivision to its point of intersection with the West line of the E' of the
SE4 of the NE4 of said Section 23
thence S 00 06' W 82 03 feet along the West line of the E� of
the SE4 of the NE4 of said Section 23 to the SW corner of Lot 17 In said
Spring Court Subdivision
thence S 00 06' W 458 79 feet along the West line of the F,' of
the SE4 of the NET4 of said Section 23 to the South line of the NE4 of said
Section 23
thence S 89 28 E 399 06 feet more or less along the South
line of the NE4 of said Section 23 to a point which bears N 89 28 W 266 00
feet from the SE corner of the NE4 of said Section 23
thence S 00 14' 30 W 134 50 feet parallel to the East line of
the SE4 of said Section 23

Whedbee Street to a point on the South line of Parler Street as shown on
the Plat of the Gray-Strecler Subdivision
thence West 1 811 00 feet parallel to the North lire of the NW'k
of said Section 24 to the West line of the NW4 of said Section 24 and
thence N 00" 07' E 662 00 feet to the point of beginning con-
taining an area of 221 988 acres more or less
be accepted and approved and that the said territory be annexed and made a
part of the City of Fort Collins and be included within the limits and
jurisdiction thereof and that the City Clerk beland he is authorized and
directed to prepare certified copies of this ordinance to each of which
shall be attached a plat of said South College Avenue Consolidated Annexa
tion to the City of Fort Collins Colorado and shall file one copy thereof
in the office of the Clerk and Recorder of the County of Larimer and another
copy thereof in the office of the Clerk of the City of Fort Collins to-
gether with a certified copy of the said petition and another copy of said
petition and approving ordinance with the Secretary of State of the State
of Colorado
Section 2 That in accepting and approving the plat of the
South College Avenue Consolidated Annexation to the City of Fort Collins
the City of Fort Collins does not assume obligations respecting the construc-
tion of water mains sewer lines gas mains electric light lines or other
services or utilities with respect to the service of said addition except
as may be required and provided by the owners of property within the limits
of said addition at their own expense and except as may be initiated by the
owners of said property within the limits of said addition in compliance
with the terms and provisions of Ordinance No 7 1921 relating to local
and public improvements as amended
