HomeMy WebLinkAbout030 - 06/03/1971 - AMENDING CITY CODE TO PERMIT NURSING HOMES IN THE R-P, PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT AND THE R-M-P M ORDINANCE NO 30 1971 BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS COLORADO 1958 AS AMENDED COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO PERMIT NURSING HOMES IN THE R-P PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT AND THE R-M-P MEDIUM DENSITY PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCILIOF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Section 19-33 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins Colorado 1958 as amended be and the same hereby is amended by adding thereto under sub- section 1 entitled Uses Permitted the following additional paragraph (3) Nursing homes provided the site for such nursing home is located within an area containing at least ten (10) acres of contiguous lands zoned R-P Planned Residential District and does not occupy more than ten per cent (10Y) of the land area zoned R-P Planned Residential District and provided further that such use must be shown on a unit development plan defined processed and approved according to Section 19-44 of this ordinance Section 2 That Section 19 33 of the Code of Ordinances ofthe City of Fort Collins Colorado 1958 as amended be and the same hereby is amended by adding to subsection 2 thereof the following The minimum lot area for a nursing home in this District shall be three (3) times the total floor area of the building but not less than 20,000 square feet Section 3 That Section 19-33 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins Colorado 1958 as amended be and the same hereby is amended by adding thereto a sub- section 3 as follows 3 Minimum off-street parking for nursing homes located in this District There shall be provided one parking space for every three (3T beds Section 4 That Section 19-33A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins Colorado 1958 as amended be and the same hereby is amended by adding thereto under sub- section 1 entitled Uses permitted the following additional paragraph '(3) Nursiing homes provided the site for such nursing home is located within an area containing at least ten (10) acres of contiguous lands zoned R-P Planned Residential District and does not occupy more than ten percent (10%) of the land area zoned R P Planned Residential District and provided further that such use must be shown on a unit development plan defined processed and approved according to Section 19-44 of this ordinance Section 5 That Section 19-33A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins Colorado 1958 as amended be and the same hereby is amended by adding to subsection 2 thereof the following The minimum lot area for a nursing home in this District shall be three (3) times the total floor area of the building but not less than 20 000 square feet ' Section 6 That Section 19-33A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins Colorado 1958 as amended be and the same hereby is amended by adding thereto a sub- section 3 as follows '3 Minimum off-street parking for nursing homes located in this District There shall be proviTeT one parking space for every three 3 beds Introduced considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this 13th day of May A D 1971 and to be presented for final passage on the 3rd day of June A D 1971 i M r ATTEST City Clerk Passed and adopted on final reading this 3rd day o June A D 1971 M r ATTEST � yn City Clerk -2-
