OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITYOF FORT COLLINS
BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES IN THE
WATER FUND
WHEREAS, Article V. , Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins provides that Council may appropriate reserves accumulated in prior
years at any time during the year; and
WHEREAS, City Council has authorized the City to purchase 1,200 acre
feet of water storage rights in the Meadow Creek Reservoir in Jackson
County, Colorado, from Baller Livestock Company at a cost of Eight Hundred
Twenty-Nine Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($829,400) ; and
WHEREAS, One Hundred Nineteen Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($119,400)
is available in the 1982 Water Fund budget for water rights acquisition.
The remaining funds are available to be appropriated from water rights
reserve funds.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure in 1982 from
Water Fund reserves the total sum of Seven Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($710,000) for purchase of water storage rights.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 7th day of December, A. D. , 1982, and to be presented for
final passage on the 21st day of December, A.D. , 1982.
