OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES
IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins permits the Council to appropriate prior year reserves at any time
such reserves are available; and
WHEREAS, the Bathhouse/Concession Stand adjacent to the Outdoor Pool
in City Park needs emergency remodeling and repairs to satisfy Department
of Health requirements for opening of the pool for the 1983 summer season;
and
WHEREAS, the construction schedule does not allow time for two read-
ings of the ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the cost to complete the emergency construction is $40,000;
and
WHEREAS, funds to cover these expenses are available from prior year
reseres in the Capital Projects Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS:
1. That Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000) be, and the same hereby are,
appropriated for expenditure from prior year reserves in the Capital
Projects Fund for the payment of costs associated with remodeling of the
Outdoor Pool Bathhouse/Concession Stand.
2. That the immediate adoption of this ordinance is necessary to
preserve, protect and advance the general welfare of the residents of the
City of Fort Collins, therefore, the Council hereby determines that an
emergency exists requiring the immediate passage of this ordinance; and
this ordinance is therefore, enacted pursuant to Section 6 of Article II of
the Charter of the City of Fort Collins as an emergency ordinance and shall
be effective upon its passage.
Introduced, considered favorably by members of the Council of the
City of Fort Collins and finally passe as an emergency ordinance and
ordered published this 15th day of March, 1983.
