ORDINANCE NO. 7, 1994
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING SECTION 2-167(a) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF FORT COLLINS RELATING TO THE
COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN
WHEREAS, by adoption of Resolution 86-65, the City Council has heretofore
established a Commission on the Status of Women (the "Commission") ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-167(a) of the Code, the Commission consists
of thirteen (13) members appointed by the City Council ; and
WHEREAS, Section 2-167(a) provides that Larimer County may appoint a
representative to serve as an ex officio nonvoting liaison to the commission; and
WHEREAS, Colorado State University has historically appointed a
representative to work with the Commission in a capacity similar to that of the
Larimer County representative; and
WHEREAS, the Commission has requested that the Code be amended to formally
recognize the representative from Colorado State University.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that Section 2-167(a) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be amended to read
as follows:
Sec. 2-167. Membership; term.
(a) The commission shall consist of thirteen (13) members
appointed by the City Council . In addition, the county and Colorado
State University may each appoint a representative to serve as an ex
officio nonvoting liaison to the commission.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 18th day of January, A.D. 1994, and to be presented for final passage on the
1st day of February, A.D. 1994.
