OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED GRANT REVENUE IN THE GENERAL
FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED
AMOUNTS BETWEEN ACCOUNTS AND PROJECTS FOR THE
EASTSIDE/WESTSIDE NEIGHBORHOODS SURVEY GRANT
WHEREAS, Advance Planning has been awarded a grant in the amount of$35,000 from
the State of Colorado Historical Society; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the
City Council to appropriate by ordinance unanticipated revenue which is the result of rate or fee
increases or new revenue sources at any time during the year in which such revenue is received;
and
WHEREAS, the grant is to be used to fund an architectural survey of the Eastside and
Westside Neighborhoods to identify and protect potential historic districts; and
WHEREAS, this grant requires $40,000 of City matching funds, which were available in
the Advance Planning 1996 budget and were reappropriated into the 1997 budget for this specific
purpose by the Council in Ordinance No. 22, 1997; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14, of the Charter authorizes the City Council to transfer
by ordinance, any unexpended appropriated amounts or portion thereof from one fund to another
upon the recommendation of the City Manager, provided that the purpose for which the funds
were initially appropriated remains unchanged.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That, upon receipt, there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
unanticipated grant revenue in the General Fund the sum of THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($35,000) for expenditure in the General fund for an architectural survey of the
Eastside and Westside Neighborhoods.
Section 2. That the unexpended appropriated amount of FORTY THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($40,000) is authorized for transfer from the Advance Planning operating budget to
the Colorado Historical Society Grant for an architectural survey of the Eastside and Westside
Neighborhoods.
