OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR THE UPGRADE OF THE
RAILROAD CROSSING SIGNALS ON WEST PROSPECT ROAD
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
(the "Charter") authorizes the City Council to appropriate unanticipated revenues
which are the result of new revenue sources at any time during the year in which
such revenue is received; and
WHEREAS, the City Council passed Resolution 93-73, on June 1, 1993,
authorizing the City to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the
Colorado State Department of Transportation and the Burlington Northern Railroad
for the receipt of federal grant funds to be used for rail/highway crossing
protection devices to upgrade the railroad crossing signals on West Prospect
Road; and
WHEREAS, the City anticipates receiving $77,722 in federal grant funds
administered by the Colorado State Department of Tranportation to be used for
railroad crossing improvements on West Prospect Road; and
WHEREAS, the grant requires $10,636 of City matching funds which are
included in the Capital Projects Fund Minor Street Capital program 1993 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that upon the City's receipt of the sum of SEVENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED
TWENTY-TWO DOLLARS ($77,722) in federal funds administered by the Colorado State
Department of Transportation, said sum is appropriated for expenditure from
unanticipated revenue in the Capital Projects Fund to provide for railroad
crossing improvements on West Prospect Road.
