OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO GRANT TWO NON-EXCLUSIVE
EASEMENTS FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO
POUDRE VALLEY RURAL ELECTRIC ASSOCIATION, INC.
WHEREAS,the City of Fort Collins is the owner of the land known as the Meadows Spring
Ranch in Larimer and Weld Counties, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins needs electrical service for a new facility being
constructed on Meadows Spring Ranch; and
WHEREAS, Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association needs non-exclusive easements as
shown on Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, to construct,
operate,_maintain,_repair-and-replace power lines;
WHEREAS, Section 23-111 of the City Code provides that the City Council is authorized
to sell, convey or otherwise dispose of real property owned by the City, provided the Council first
finds by ordinance that any sale or disposition of real property owned by the City will not materially
impair the viability of the utility system as a whole if the property is part of the system and that the
sale is inthe*nest interest ofthe City of Fort Collins.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That the above-described sale and conveyance of easement interests is in the best
interest of the City of Fort Collins.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute two Easement Agreements conveying
non-exclusive easements for electrical service to Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association, Inc.

DESCRIPTION FOR UTILITY EASEMENT:
A utility easement located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 1, Township 11 North, Range 68
West, the South Half of Section 6 and the North Half of Section 7, Township 11 North, Range 67
West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Larimer County and Weld County, Colorado, being more
particularly described as follows:
That portion of an easement 20 feet in width with foreshortened and prolonged sidelines to meet the
property Ivies and shall be 10 feet each side measured at right angles and parallel with the centerline
described as follows:
Considering the East line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section I as bearing North 00°10'23" East
from an aluminum cap at the Southeast comer of said Section 1 to an aluminum cap at the East
Quarter corner of said Section 1 and with all bearings contained herein relative thereto:
Commencing at the Southeast comer of said Section 1; thence along the East line of said Section 1,
North 00°10'23"East, 1017.45 feet; thence departing said East line, North 89°49'37" West, 552.91
feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of said centerline; thence, South 61°15'18" East, 231.98 feet;
thence, South 59°09'01"East,282.71 feet;thence, South 61°50'31" East, 252.72 feet; thence, South
58°55'26" East, 367.26 feet; thence, South 74°58'51" East, 293.20 feet; thence, South 75°01'04"
East, 1456.03 feet; thence, South 89013'26" East, 2348.85 feet to a point on the West line of
Interstate Highway No. 25, said point also being the Terminus Point of said centerline.
The above described utility easement contains 2.40 acres more or less and is suject to all easements
and rights-of-way now on record or existing.
