HomeMy WebLinkAbout068 - 05/17/1994 - APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR THE PROSPECT/SHIELDS INTERSECTI ORDINANCE NO. 68, 1994 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR THE PROSPECT/SHIELDS INTERSECTION PROJECT WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14, of the Charter of the City of Fort Coll-ins (the "Charter") authorizes the City Council to appropriate unanticipated revenues which are the result of new revenue sources at any time during the year in which such revenue is received; and WHEREAS, in the summer of 1993, the City constructed improvements associated with- the- widening- of Prospect Road- between Shields- Street_ and Taft Hill Road as part of the Choices 95 capital improvement plan; and WHEREAS, the work on the aforementioned project also involved the Prospect/ Taft Hill Intersection, and Prospect/Shields Intersection Choices 95 projects; and WHEREAS, in conjunction with the foregoing roadway improvements, certa-hy utility companies, including US West, installed utility system improvements; and WHEREAS, during the widening of Prospect Road between Shields Street and Taft Hill Road the City incurred certain costs for work done by the City's contractor at US West's request when the US West contractor was unable to meet certain project deadlines; and WHEREAS, US West has previously agreed to reimburse the City for said costs at the end of the project; and WHEREAS, the City has received a total of $29,000 from US West as reimbursement for the costs paid by the City from the project budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in the Capital Projects Fund, Prospect/Shields Intersection capital project, the sum of TWENTY-NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS (E29,000) to be used with previously appropriated funds for the Choices 95 Prospect/Shields Intersection project.
