OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE GENERAL
FUND FOR THE SCHOOL RESOURCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 95-38 the Council of the City of Fort Collins has
authorized an agreement with the Poudre School District R-1 (the "School District") to participate
in the School Resource Officer Program("the Program"); and
WHEREAS, the Program is designed to place a uniformed Fort Collins police officer in each
of the three high schools; and
WHEREAS, Police Services has identified funds in its budget from prior years productivity
savings to pay for in-kind costs and recruitment, selection and training of the officers to be hired for
the Program; and
WHEREAS, the funds required from the Police Services productivity savings will be
appropriated in June with the regular general fund productivity savings appropriation ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the School District has agreed to contribute $98,437 to the City to fund the
Program; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14 of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City
Council to appropriate by ordinance unanticipated revenue which is the result of rate or fee increases
or new revenue sources at any time during the year in which such revenue is received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in the
General Fund the sum of NINETY-EIGHT THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN
DOLLARS ($98,437) for expenditure in the General Fund for the Fort Collins Police Services'
participation in the Program with the Poudre School District R-1.

March, A.D., 1995, and to be presented for final passage on th th day f April, 95.
