HomeMy WebLinkAbout097 - 09/04/1990 - AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF MONIES FROM THE RECREATION FUND TO THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR MAJOR B ORDINANCE NO. 97, 1990 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF MONIES FROM THE RECREATION FUND TO THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR MAJOR BUILDING MAINTENANCE AND APPROPRIATING THE SAME IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND WHEREAS, the City received a donation of $27,500 from Anheuser-Busch Corporation in 1989 to be used for improvements at the Northside Aztlan Community Center; and WHEREAS, the $27,500 has been budgeted and appropriated in the Recreation Fund; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to use the aforementioned donation to begin work on improvements at the Northside Aztlan Community Center; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the $27,500 be transferred to the Capital Projects Fund for Major Maintenance at the Northside Aztlan Community Center; and WHEREAS, under Article V, Section 15 of the City Charter, the Council may, by ordinance, upon the recommendation of the City Manager, transfer any unexpended appropriated amount or portion thereof from one fund to another, provided that the purpose of the initial expenditure no longer exists; and WHEREAS, it is no longer anticipated that the expenditure of the appropriated funds will occur from the Recreation Fund, so that the purpose of the initial appropriation into that fund no longer exists; and WHEREAS, said transfer of funds does not represent an increase in City expenditures above the amount provided in the annual budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the unexpended appropriated amount of TWENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($27,500) be authorized for transfer from the Recreation Fund to Capital Projects Fund Major Building Maintenance account and appropriated therein for expenditure for improvements to the Northside Aztlan Community Center.
