ORDINANCE NO. 68, 1990
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING BUILDING AND IMPROVEMENT
RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND AND
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED
AMOUNTS TO THE CULTURAL SERVICES
AND FACILITIES FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of
any expense from reserves accumulated in prior years, notwithstanding that
such reserves were not appropriated for expenditure in the annual
appropriation ordinance; and
WHEREAS, consultants have determined that backstage rigging equipment
at the Lincoln Center has surpassed industry standards in terms of useful
life and is beginning to show signs of wear that will cause inefficiencies
in the system, and raise questions as to the safety of employees working
with the system; and
WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $18,000 are needed in the
Cultural Services and Facilities Fund to replace the existing rigging
equipment; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $18,000 are available in the General
Fund building and improvement reserve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, as follows:
Section 1 . That there is hereby appropriated from building and
improvement reserves in the General Fund the sum of EIGHTEEN THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($18,000) for transfer to the Cultural Services and Facilities
Fund.
Section 2. That EIGHTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($18,000) is authorized for
transfer from the General Fund to the Cultural Services and Facilities Fund
and appropriated therein to be used for replacing the backstage rigging
equipment at the Lincoln Center.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 12th day of June, A.D. 1990, and to be presented for final
passage on the 3rd day of July, A.D. 19 0.
