OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE LEASE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
AT THE FORT COLLINS-LOVELAND MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the Cities of Loveland and Fort Collins, Colorado ("Cities")
jointly own and operate the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport
("Airport") ; and
WHEREAS, Rocky Mountain Airways, Inc. , doing business as Continental
Express ("Continental ") has proposed to lease certain property subject to
completion of a terminal building and related improvements for the
principal purpose of conducting commercial air transportation service at
the Airport; and
WHEREAS, the Cities desire to enter into this lease in order to
provide air transportation services for the Cities and their visitors; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds, in accordance with Section 23-114 of the
Code of the City of Fort Collins, that this being so, the Airline Use and
Lease Agreement with Continental is in the best interests of the City of
Fort Collins.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1 . That this Airline Use and Lease Agreement is in the best
interests of the City of Fort Collins.
Section 2. That the Mayor be, and she hereby is, authorized to enter
into an Airline Use and Lease Agreement which provides for the following:
1. A guaranteed rental term of five (5) years for the terminal
building;
2. Scheduled daily air passenger service to Denver's Stapleton
International Airport for a period of twelve (12) months; and
3. Reasonable rental rates and landing fees for use of the Airport.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 5th day of June, A.D. 1990, and to be presented for final
passage on the 3rd day of July, A.D. 19� 0.
