OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT
WITH RESPITE CARE, A NON-PROFIT CORPORATION
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins, Colorado ("the City") , is the owner of
the property located at 400 Wood Street, Fort Collins, Colorado ("the City
property") ; and
WHEREAS, Respite Care, a non-profit corporation, has proposed to lease the
City property for the principal purpose of providing relief to Larimer County
parents of developmentally disabled and physically disabled children; and
WHEREAS, .the lease provides a five-year term expiring on September 30,
1997, and also provides reduced rent in the amount of $1.00 per year in support
of the public purpose served by Respite Care; and
WHEREAS, Section 23-114 of the Code of the City requires that the Council
find the Lease Agreement is in the best interests of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1 . That the proposed lease of the City property is in the best
interests of the City.
Section 2. That the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into a
lease with Respite Care on the terms and conditions set forth above.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 15th day of September, 1992, and to be presented for final passage on the
6th day of October, A.D. , 1992.
