OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
RELATING TO THE NATURAL RESOURCES ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, on July 3, 1990, the City Council adopted Resolution 90-100
establishing a policy for the elimination of alternate positions on boards and
commissions; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 90-100 provides that the Council liaison assigned to
each board or commission which currently has alternate positions shall make a
recommendation for changes in the composition of the board or commission to
which he or she is assigned, in order to achieve the eventual elimination of
alternate positions; and
WHEREAS, the Council liaison to the Natural Resources Advisory Board is
recommending that the two (2) alternate positions on the Natural Resources
Advisory Board be eliminated at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that Section 2-307 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be amended as
follows:
Sec. 2-307. Membership; term.
(a) The board shall consist of nine (9) members appointed by the
City Council . Appointments shall specify the term of office of each
individual in order to achieve overlapping tenure.
(b) Each member shall serve a term of four (4) years without
compensation. All members shall be subject to removal by the City
Council . If a vacancy occurs on the board, it shall be filled by the
City Council for the remaining unexpired portion of the term.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 5th day of February, A.D. 1991, and to be presented for final passage on
the 19th day of February, A.D. 1991.
