HomeMy WebLinkAbout123 - 09/01/1987 - APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE SEWER FUND ORDINANCE NO. 123, 1987 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE SEWER FUND WHEREAS, Article V, Section 15, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits Council to appropriate unanticipated revenue received at any time during the year; and WHEREAS, Larimer County plans to phase out the acceptance of liquid wastes at the Larimer County Landfill due to potential adverse impacts to ground water underlying the facility; and WHEREAS, the City and Larimer County staff have developed an approach to handling the domestic septage portion of these liquid wastes; and WHEREAS, Larimer County has entered into an agreement providing for the transfer of $306,250 to the City for the estimated engineering, construction, and start-up expenses for a Sanitary Waste Transfer Station. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in the Sewer Fund the total sum of THREE HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($306,250) for construction of a Sanitary Waste Transfer Station, said appropriation contingent upon the transfer to the City of $306,250 from Larimer County. Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 18th day of August, A.D. 1987, and to be presented for final passage on the 1st day of September, A.D. 1987.
