Subject: Foundation Drain Observation

As requested, personnel from our office confirmed that an interior perimeter drain had been
installed in the crawl space of the residences located at the project referenced above. At the time of
observation, vapor barrier had already been installed on top of the drain. However, we were able to
determine that a drain had been installed adjacent to the interior walls of the crawl space and we
also located the sump pit that had been installed in the southeast (2250 Shandy) and northeast
(2256 Shandy) corner of the crawl space. Based on our observations, it is our professional opinion
that the installed drain systems for the four units meet the requirements of the Fort Collins
amendments to the International Residential Code.
