Prospect Road Fort Collins, CO 80526 VZ RE: Connections for the Girder Truss at 2302 Longwing Drive, .jam City of Fort Collins, Larimer County, .Colorado CDS Project No. 20-0323 Dear Rucker, The connections for the Girder Truss at the above mentioned residence were observed on April 12, 2020. The connection between the Girder Truss to the post at the second floor were connected per our recommendation of placing two Simpson CMST12 straps from the Girder Truss to the post below over the plate and bolts recommended by TD Structural Engineering. The straps have a minimum length of nineteen inches above and below the plate to the truss and the post. The other connections for plates 2 and 3 from TD Structural Addendum 2 were observed via photographs provided by Nick Valcourt. These connections appear to be installed per TD Structural Engineering recommendations. The front porch slab reinforcing was observed via photographs, the spacing of the rebar appears to be in conformance with TD Structural Engineering plans for the front porch except that the slab was poured as a slab on grade instead of a structural slab as shown on the plans. The rebar connections to the house and Ynrch foundation were drilled and epoxied instead of being wet set, since the slab is a slab or, grade and not a structural slab this is acceptable. The piers are adequate for supporting the deck stairs. The stringers between the deck and the beam at the bottom of the stairs are adequate, from the pictures the stringers appeared to be at twelve (12) to sixteen (16) inches between the stringers.
