Reason for Requesting Inspection:
We had been relying on our woodburning stove since 2018 (this was advertised as the way to heat
the house on the flyer, and also told to us by Evergreen in person) to heat our house. Then in
10/8/2019, the property management company instructed us, per the owner's request, not to use the
wood burning stove until after it had been serviced, which did not occur until 12/11/2019.
Meanwhile, we had to use the gas heating, which a heating company employee who came to do the
inspection informed us was too small of a unit for the size of the house. The owner of Hooley
Heating and Air came out and determined that there was inadequate insulation. Once the wood
burning stove was inspected, the inspector informed us that the chimney was installed incorrectly
and was a fire hazard. The property management company did not inform us of this until we
explicitly asked for the results of the inspection. They have made no effort to correct the issue, even
after we expressed to them how cold it is.
