Dear Mr Lockwood
Per the contractor - the building department has requested a letter regarding the pre-engineered truss frammg at the
two center Lot 23 and Lot 24 structures of the 4-plex building A written request from the building department was
not received, per the contractor - the issue is the girder truss framing at a portion of the Lot 23 and Lot 24 structures
Refer to the structural plans prepared for the project (Project No CR9010-18 drawing set S 1, S2, S3 1, S3 2, S4 dated
July 9, 2014) Refer to the pre-engineered truss shop drawing set (work order #7-0210 and work order #7-0210 B)
received from the contractor today August 8, 2017
At the front of the building at the portion of the roof framing adjacent to the garage above the living area - sheet S3 2
of the structural drawings indicates an additional girder truss between the girder truss that is in line with the rear of
the garage (which is C08G at Lot 23 and B09G at Lot 24) and the front of the building The pre-engineered truss
plans omit this additional girder truss and frames the roof in this area with (C08G and C 11 G girder truss at Lot 23
and B09G and B 19G girder truss at Lot 24)
The pre-engmeered truss framing at this described area indicated in work order #7-0210 and work order #7-0210 B
is acceptable /1 n
