We have visually observed the footing sizes at the residence currently under construction at the
above referenced location. These observations were performed on June 19, 2017.
It is our opinion that the footing sizes, was and steel,retnforcement were.in general

Gentlemen:
We have visually observed the wall steel reinforcing -placed In the forms at the residence
currently under construction at the above referenced location. This observation was performed
on June 21, 2017.

01, dated April 20, 2017 and modified on May 12, 2017. A ufer ground rod was also observed to
be installed within the foundation wall reinforcing steel. The ground rod was placed per
generally acceptable placement recommendations.

Gentlemen:
We have visually observed the perimeter drain being installed around the interior perimeter of
the crawl space of the home under construction at the above referenced location.
The drain consists of 4" perforated and socked,drain,pipe._It is -placed around the crawl space
interior perimeter. It is our opinion that the (drain- an&sumppit-as•instaledled should Be an adequate
means of draining out any rain, irrigation, or ground water that may filtrate to the crawl space
elevation of the home. The damp-proofinghas also been applied using standard acceptable
practices.

Lot 18, Block 7, Timbervine 2"d Fil., 2227 Mackinac Street, Fort Collins, CO

Gentlemen:
As requested, on May 30, 2017, we visually observed the excavation at the above referenced
location. The purpose of this observation was to verify that the subsurface conditions
encountered in the excavation are generally consistent with those outlined in the soils report
performed by CTL/Thompson, Inc., Project No. FC06508-115. This letter is not intended to be a
summary of the soils report and does not meet the disclosure requirements of Colorado Senate
Bill 13, 6-6.5-101.
At the time of our observation, the excavation had been completed. The excavation revealed
gravelly sand and sandy gravels to the depths excavated for crawl space foundation construction
The subsurface conditions exposed in the excavation appeared to be generally consistent with
those described in the above referenced soils report, which recommends a continuous spread
footing and isolated pad type foundation system for these subsurface conditions. We also
recommend that an exterior perimeter drain be constructed for this structure.

Gentlemen:
We have reviewed the modified posts supporting 2"d Floor beams at the above referenced
residence currently under construction. The 5x5x1/4 steel columns at the ends of the W 12x58
Steel Beam were replaced with 7-2x6 built up columns at each end. The center column for the
2"d floor beam over the Mechanical room and walk-in closet did not land on the intended steel
beam in the crawl space. The following are our comments/recommendations for the modified
fr4ming conditions.
The center post for the continuous 2"d floor beam can be extended to a new concrete pad in the
crawl space. The column can be in two sections, one section at the main level walls, solid
blocked through the floor system and picked up again with another section of steel column in the
crawl space and then supported on a 40"x40"x 10" thick reinforced concrete pad in the crawl
space Reinforcing should be #4 rebar spaced at 10" on center each way.
The 7-2x6 built up posts at each end of the W 12x58 Steel Beam are an adequate substitution and
should adequately supportthe imposed design loads at their locations.

The 4-ply Microllam beams used at this project should be assembled with a minimum of two 5"
ledgerlok wood screws at 12" on center alternating sides.
