On March 27, 2017 1 visited the referenced site as requested. The purpose of
this visit was to determine the requirement for two openings in an existing
bearing wall.
The structure Is a one level commercial building with a basement.
A 6' opening and a 3' opening is planned In the center bearing wall on the main
level. The wall supports the roof trusses.
Based on the proposed 6' opening and design loads it Is recommended a (3)-9
'/z" LVL header be used at the opening. The header should be supported on a
2-2x6 trimmer each end with a 2x6 king stud each end.. The header for the 3'
opening should be 3-2x10's with 1-2x6 trimmer with a 2x6 king stud each end.
Solid wood block the 2 Ys" space between the metal deck and the top of the
beam In the basement under the trimmers of the 6' opening.

structure visible and with generally accepted engineering practices in the area.
