I understand that the opening in the basement interior wall was framed with the double 2
x 10 header no extending to the opening edge. The opening width is approximately 3
feet. A double 2 x 6 was then framed below the double 2 x 10. 1 reviewed pictures of
the header. This is not adequate. I recommend replacing the double 2 x 6 with double
1.75" x 5.5" LVL.
