Purpose: Foundation Observation
Observations: The backfill was removed to expose the top and sides of the existing foundations. The
foundation additions were formed and the rebar was installed and doweled into the existing footings.
The water proofing over the existing steel columns was reapplied.
The following items were observed to be in general conformance with the approved construction
documents:
• Footing addition size and locations
• Rebar location and spacing per detail 2/S102
• Dowels into existing foundations
• Rebar clear cover to bottom and sides of foundation
Deficiencies: Any missing or incomplete items listed below must be installed unless noted otherwise
• No observable deficiencies
Final verification of deficient items may be recorded by the special inspector. A copy of this report must
be given to the inspector and ESS must be provided the special inspector’s report for final conformance.
ESS performs a cursory observation of the items in plain view to verify general conformance
with the approved construction documents. This observation does not include or waive the

responsibility for special inspections required by Code. This Report does not guarantee the
work of the contractor, nor does it relieve the contractor from performing their work in
accordance with the Contract Documents, and applicable codes, laws, rules, and regulations.
