On October 21, 2012 we inspected the approximate Y-6" deep "trench" excavation located around the perimeter of the proposed addition to confirm that the exposed soil is consistent with those anticipated on the engineer approved foundation design. The exposed soil consisted of approximately V-0" of dark brown colored sandy clay fill material over approximately F-0" of dark brown colored, very sandy clay with organics over approximately V-6" of light to whitish brown colored very silty, moderately dense clay to the full depth of the excavation. The soil was relatively dry at the time of our inspection. The soil consisted of similar material that was anticipated for the design of the proposed foundation system, therefore, we approved the construction of the continuous footings as specified on the engineer approved plans. 2.On October 23, 2012 we inspected the continuous footing form sizes and steel reinforcement, prior to the placement of concrete. 3.On October 29, 2012 we inspected the I.C.F. foundation forming system, the steel reinforcement within the foundation wall forms and Simpson "tie down" straps, prior to the placement of concrete. These inspections consisted of visual observations and measurements to confirm that the exposed soil was consistent with those anticipated, footing form widths and depths, footing steel reinforcement, I.C.F. foundation wall forming system, foundation wall steel reinforcement and tie -down straps, were in place and within general conformance with the approved plans completed by Straight Line Design, Inc., job no. 12-1717, dated October 10, 2012 or per our verbal recommendations. Upon completion of each inspection, we have determined that all requirements pertaining to the inspections have met or exceeded our recommendations.
