Box 271892 Fort Collins, Colo. 80527 Re: 125 Peterson St. Fort Collins, Colo. 80524 Dear Mr. Serrano, Today I have inspected the above referenced address in regards to a doorway, at apartment No. 3. which was relocated. A review of our files indicate that no permits were issued for this work. Had a permit been obtained, then the City's Building Department would have required that the door be located in such a manner as to not interfere with the proper exiting of the doorway to apartment No. 2. Proper exiting from any space or apartment is one of the Building Codes' highest priorities, as it directly relates to "Life and Safety" of the occupants within that space. I End that the relocated doorway to apartment No. 3 is in violation of the Uniform Building Code, as adopted by the City, since this doorway, when fully open preven[s tFe occupants of apartment No. 2 from exiting the building. At this time I am requiring the immediate removal of this relocated doorway, and return the exiting from apartment No. 2 to its original status.
