Dear Mr. Hanley:
As requested, we have reviewed the feasibility of removing the partition wall between the Dining
room and Kitchen on the South side of the home.
After reviewing the site and based on our observation of the framing of the floor and roof of this
house, it is our opinion that this wall is a partition wall and is not load bearing. Therefore, it is
our opinion that the wall can be removed without adversely affecting the structural integrity of
the remaining structure. There exists however, the possibility of some drywall cracking in both
the walls and ceilings as the home adjusts itself to the absence of this partition wall.
The conclusions and recommendations presented in this letter are based solely on our visual
review of portions of the described structure. Our review was limited to the items described in
this letter and is not intended to cover mechanical, electrical, environmental, mold, architectural,
or other structural features of the building unless noted otherwise. No structural engineering
analysis of the existing stricture or soil conditions has been performed.
