RE: Donohoe Residence Fenestration
To whom it may concern,
We, Harrington Construction, have installed all windows at the James Donohoe Residence. This house
has been designed as a super -efficient solar passive home and we are anticipating certification from the
Passive House Institute of the US by complying with their rigorous standards. We are pursuing the DOE
Challenge Home certification as well. As such we have made every effort to maintain a high level of
thermal bridge free insulation throughout the envelope.
Windows are manufactured by Intus Windows and are u-PVC tilt and turn European style windows. All
windows are triple glazed and Argon filled with warm edge spacers. All operable glazing units are triple
gasketed to reduce air infiltration. Two panes are low-e
SHGC: 0.494
Uvalue: 0.025 to .024 Btu/hr-ft' F° for whole window U-value
VT: 0.70
All windows have been properly flashed, air sealed and installed according to code and manufacturers
installation instructions.
