Gentlemen:
We are aware that during construction a trench for a pipe was constructed directly
adjacent to some of the building foundations. The bottom of the trench was below the
bottom of the footings.
We understand that the trench has been backfilled, and that Ground Engineering has
tested and approved the compaction of the backfill.
Since the trench has been backfilled and tested, we feel that the footings are properly
bearing on the soil and that the fill in the trench appears to be structurally acceptable.
